KU to Host National Coming Out Day Fair

The KU GLBTQ Resource Center is hosting a small fair for National Coming Out Day, Oct. 11, in the Old Main Concourse from 11-2 p.m. According to the GLBTQ Center, the event will “[feature] activities and displays aimed at understanding and celebrating the ‘coming out’ process of LGBT individuals.”


Later in the evening, KU will be hosting award-winning activist Adrian Shanker as their keynote speaker from 6-8 p.m. Mr. Shanker is the Founder and Executive Director of the Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center in Allentown, Pa. and he was recently appointed to the PA Commission on LGBT Affairs.


Mr Shanker will speak in the McFarland Student Union building, Room 223.
